February 25th, 2026 - In Memory of Doris Stubben

On February 25th, 2026, we said goodbye to a dear member of the GRA family with the passing of Doris Stubben, beloved wife of Dave Stubben for more than 52 years. The Stubbens joined GRA in February of 2020 during the time Doris began her battle with Lymphoma. When she was able, Doris joined Dave at outings and everyone she met knew her as a kind and empathetic person.

Doris definitely enjoyed the life she and Dave built for their family. As she said in her self-written eulogy, "I feel like I have had the kind of life that many dream of."
Doris had her playful side as well, as evidenced by her attempt to influence golf fashion for the LGPA.
When it came to dressing up for the murder mystery event at the GRA outing, Doris was "all in".
For a more detail rememberance of Doris' life, including a wonderful eulogy that Doris wrote for herself, check out   https://greenvalleymortuary.com/obituaries/doris-stubben
As Doris told us herself in her euology,
"Here's what I'll leave you with:
  • Treat every day like it's the first day of your honeymoon... and the last day of your vacation.
  • Live fully, love deeply, and laugh often.
  • I will miss you, but I know you will all care for each other in the way I cared for you. I love you all, and I thank you for giving me the life I always hoped for."

February 7th, 2026 - Top Trail Bosses Recognized at Lodi Outing

The initial cadre of Top Trail Bosses in the Top Boss Program were recognized at the February 2026 Flag City (Lodi) outing. Trail Bosses are the heart and soul of our Gold Rush Allegros events.  If it weren't for those GRA members who volunteer their time and effort as Trail Bosses, we wouldn't have events. While we all have a responsibility to support the club outings, some members have gone "above and beyond" consistently volunteering their time and energy as Trail Bosses sometimes over a number of years to support our club. The Top Boss Program honors these families.
